Long Time No Post
Hey everyone!! Long time no post huh? Since starting college I have been posting much less frequently and was using a timed upload (basically it means that i would write like 3 posts and then they would update on a time over the course of a couple weeks.) Apparently though they didn't actually upload so I have been missing from this blog for like 4 ish months....whoops! I'm trying to track down these posts because they seem to not have saved properly but in the meantime I thought i'd give everyone an update on my life.
I started college four months ago!! It has been crazy and terrifying and sooo much fun. I have met so many nice people and have learned how to live by myself with my medical condition. In the beginning I was convinced something and was going to happen but I have made it through my first semester with no terrible medical things happening. In fact this had been one of the healthiest periods of time in my life because I am able to adjust my schedule around my medicines. I have made friends that know about my medical stuff and I actually feel comfortable hooking up to my iv and asking them for help if I need it. My best friend is so great - she is so chill about me having to take days off sometimes. We were gonna go out one night and I decided that I was too dehydrated and that I probably should just relax and hook up to fluids. I assumed she would go out with our other friends, and instead she hung out with me and we ate chinese food and watched a movie. It has been great to have friends that don't act like me having to miss things for medical stuff is a hinderance.
One thing that was pretty tough about this semester was that while high school was also stressful, college stress is generally centered around mid-terms and finals, while high school stress is much more spread out. I got pretty run down (like every other college student) during midterms and finals and stress was really hard on my body. Next semester I am gonna be trying to do more exercise (Gym and yoga) in order to keep y stress levels down. Also I am taking a few less classes as 6 classes has ended up being a bit too much for me to handle.
I am now off school for like a month before I start my second semester and I have all these old blogs and experiences I want to share with everyone. I have learned a lot in such a short period of time I'm hoping that I can write about a lot of it before I start back up. Im thinking some future freshman with a medical condition might find them useful went starting college. Or some other person will read them because they like what I have to say. Anyways, hope you all had a wonderful holiday - I definitely did (but I'll save that for another post) Lots of love to you all, Adios!
